Find answers to common questions about HOTI programs and enrollment
HOTI stands for "Helping Others Through Innovation." We are an organization dedicated to empowering young people aged 12-17 through innovative programs that combine creativity, technology, and social impact. Our mission is to help participants unlock their potential and develop solutions that serve their communities.
All HOTI programs are designed for youth and youngsters aged 12-17 years old. This age range allows us to provide age-appropriate content and create cohorts with participants at similar developmental stages.
Yes! All HOTI programs are completely free for participants. We believe that financial barriers should never prevent young people from accessing quality educational opportunities. Materials, resources, and mentorship are all provided at no cost.
Our programs are conducted both online and in-person, depending on the specific program and current circumstances. We use a combination of virtual workshops via Zoom and hands-on sessions when possible to provide the best learning experience.
We recommend focusing on one program at a time to get the maximum benefit from the experience. However, you can apply for multiple programs that run at different times. Our team will help coordinate your schedule if you're interested in multiple programs.
Most of our programs are designed for beginners and require no prior experience. Some programs like "Tech for Good" recommend basic computer literacy, and "Future Skills Bootcamp" suggests a basic STEM background, but we welcome participants at all skill levels and provide support accordingly.
For most programs, we provide all necessary materials. For online components, you'll need a computer or tablet with internet access. For hands-on workshops like "Innovation in Everyday Life," all materials are provided. Specific requirements will be communicated after enrollment.

We look for participants who are genuinely interested in learning and making a positive impact. Some programs like "Idea-to-Action Lab" require a short application describing a problem you'd like to solve.
Each program is limited to 30 participants per cohort to ensure quality mentorship and interaction. If a program is full, you'll be placed on a waiting list and notified if spots become available. We also regularly schedule new cohorts, so you can apply for the next available session.
